Judy AitkenFounder/Director
I work with local mission leaders and the Southeast Asia Union Mission in overseeing ASAP’s projects in the field. Some of my work also includes nurturing the Asian SDA groups in North America, communicating with ASAP board members and donors, along with sharing the mission of ASAP to others. SCHOOLINGI received a degree in nursing from Pacific Union College. HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAPGod led me to work with Southeast Asians since the late 1970s. You can read about how the Lord led step by step in the Meet the Founder section of the website. WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAPI founded ASAP in October, 1995. FAVORITE ASAP PROJECTMedical Missionaries (Gift #103) and Health Training (Gift #207). Although all the ASAP projects are actually my favorite, because of my background in health, I particularly appreciate the work of the medical missionaries and health training. I can see that simple, natural methods of healing used by the medical missionaries, combined with prayer produce amazing healing. WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORKI enjoy praying, walking, working in my flower gardens, and spending time with my grandchildren. ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXTSJohn 1:4 says, "In Him was life and the life was the light of man." I love this text because of the blessings of new life the Lord gives me and I love to share His light to others. |
