Martin KimCommunication Director
My job is basically to communicate with God about our needs in Southeast Asia, and then communicate to others how privileged they are to be able to co-partner with God in taking the gospel to those in Southeast Asia not only by giving financially, but through the mighty power of prayer. God says, "Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession" (Psalm 2:8). I am the coordinator for the ASAP Ambassador Program, mission trips, prayer team and am involved with PR. I speak in churches and schools to create awareness about missions. SCHOOLINGI received my undergraduate degree from Weimar College and obtained an MA in Youth Ministry from Andrews University. HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAPWhile serving as the English ministry pastor of the Seattle Central Korean SDA Church, God led our English speaking group to support ASAP as we were praying about getting more actively involved in supporting foreign missions. As a result of all the intense praying that our Vietnamese brothers and sisters are doing, many Buddhists and Catholics are amazingly being converted by the power of the Holy Spirit as they watch DVDs which are being distributed like the leaves of autumn. Even the police that confiscate the materials are often convicted and transformed by the truth contained in the DVDs. WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORKI enjoy taking walks and traveling with my wife. Other things I enjoy are scripture memory, reading books about prayer, faith and missions, and snorkeling. ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXTSMatthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." |
