Executive Assistant

BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION

I work with filing reports and project updates from our ASAP sponsored Church Planters, Medical Missionaries, Literacy Teachers and other workers. I also communicate with Adventist church pastors from Southeast Asia as well.

At ASAP, we have a collection of resources primarily in the major languages used in Southeast Asia. The collection is comprised of but not limited to: Bibles, Bible study materials, books covering various health topics and practices, character-building, Spirit of Prophecy materials, DVDs, and resources available in other formats. I am responsible for obtaining and distributing these resources and materials to those that need them.

I communicate with the people and church pastors from Myanmar for ASAP. I am also involved in working with resettled people groups from Myanmar here in North America. I write articles in regard to Myanmar, and gospel works in Myanmar from time to time for our ASAP Newsletter and website.

SCHOOLING

I finished my college studies in Myanmar. I later continued my graduate studies at Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies.

HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP

I had always wanted to work with an organization that supports and works alongside the Adventist Church in Myanmar by reaching out to the un-reached, marginalized, and under-developed people groups. Yes, reaching these people groups with the gospel of Christ, empowering them through Christian education, and using humanitarian programs to help end the cycle of poverty, and discrimination in their life time was my desire. When I found out about ASAP, and what it has already been doing all along, I thank God that He had already set up such an organization.

WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAP

I started working for ASAP as a volunteer from September of 2008. Soon afterward, I began working as a part-time team member of ASAP’s Office Staff.

FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT

Sponsoring Church Planters.

WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK

I love to do some gardening, traveling, outdoor activities, enjoying new cuisines, working with my local church as well as with mission projects.

ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXTS

John 15:4, 16, 17 NKJV

“4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me….
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
17 These things I command you, that you love one another.”
