April 2009

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL:

  • We thank the Lord for blessing ASAP and enlarging our territory in answer to prayer. With the growing work there is a need for more laborers overseas and in the home office. Pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more laborers. Pray also for ASAP Ambassadors who will represent ASAP at camp meetings this summer.
  • The work in Vietnam reminds us that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age …” (Eph 6:12). There are forces at work seeking to dismantle the work of the underground church. Pray that truth will prevail and that the work of the underground church will continue to spread the everlasting gospel to the millions in the communist government of Vietnam.
  • We praise the Lord for Sadua Lee, one of ASAP’s most faithful and active lay-pastors in Laos. He has endured great persecution and has made great sacrifices as He labors for the Lord. He recently decided to leave his comfortable home with running water to live in a primitive Hmong village outside of Vientiane so the Hmong could learn about Jesus. Sadua Lee has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer. Pray that God would bless this faithful servant with a miraculous healing.
  • It was a blessing for the ASAP team to meet and train a number of the ASAP sponsored church planters during the last trip over to Southeast Asia in Jan/Feb. The church planters for Myanmar will soon be launching out into new territory. Pray that God would pour out the Holy Spirit on them and bless their efforts. Pray also for increased funding to support the great evangelism needs in this country.
  • With so much work and so little time left before Christ returns, ASAP decided to invest one more hour a day to prayer. ASAP began meeting with other ministry leaders in the community on March 30, 2009. Please pray that God will continue to convict even more ministry leaders, staff, and praying people in the community to join us in praying from 1-2 pm at the ASAP office. Through uniting in prayer, we will seek an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for us personally and corporate revival for the local ministries in order to fulfill the Great Commission. Pray that God would bless the ministries that attend and put a hedge of protection around the ASAP office.
