Monthly Prayer Points
PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY:
- We thank the Lord of the harvest for providing the needed laborers for the upcoming mission trip, ASAP Mission Cambodia 2009. Pray that God would pour out His Spirit on each participant as they prepare for service. Please also pray that God's hand would continue to be upon all the plans that are being made for the campmeeting which will take place in Siem Reap.
- ASAP is now privileged to support ten church planters in Myanmar. However, this is just a drop in the bucket for a country with more then 50 million people. The vast majority have not heard about Jesus. Pray that God would pour out His Spirit on the people of Myanmar and also enlarge ASAP's territory in this country.
- We have great evangelistic opportunities here in the US as many Karen refugees are coming to the US for resettlement. Pray that God would send Karen pastors over to the US to minister to the Adventist Karen who are at risk of joining other churches in their desire for community. Pray specifically that God would send a Karen pastor to work in Akbany, NY and another to work in North Carolina.
- Deane Jackson, the former Northern Australian Conference president, is now beginning work in Cambodia as the president of the Cambodia Adventist Mission. Pray that God would bless him as he makes this transition and guide him as he builds relationships with the Cambodian pastors. Pray also that God would give wisdom to our pastors in Cambodia that they would know how to work effectively with ASAP church planters, medical missionaries and literacy teachers.
