PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH:

  • The missionary volunteers have returned from the 2010 ASAP Mission Trip—and their lives have been changed forever.  Through their tireless efforts, God has blessed hundreds in Cambodia with help for a wide range of medical, dental, and vision problems.  They have witnessed firsthand the great needs of the poor in Cambodia, whom they now know as brothers and sisters in Christ.  Please pray for these volunteers to become active ASAP Ambassadors and to share how God has used them and ASAP to help so many in need.
  • ASAP just completed training of national missionaries in Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar.  Please pray for the Holy Spirit to encourage these workers to implement the ideas that were shared about how to more effectively reach their people for Jesus.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to move mightily at all levels of society such that when God brings ASAP laborers to meet them, “they are already white for harvest” (John 4:35).
  • Please pray for a church planter and his wife who have experienced harassment soon after returning from the ASAP training in Laos (their names have been withheld for their protection). The police were mis-informed that these church planters did not have legal authority to move to the area nor to do missionary work.  Unfortunately, the police have seized the couple’s documents, which do authorize them to work, as well as their bibles and hymnals.  The couple had not gone door-to-door doing evangelistic work, but the Holy Spirit has brought people to them to worship in the small bamboo and thatch church, which is now in danger of being torn down.  Please keep this couple and their church in prayer as well as those causing the harassment.  May God be glorified by bringing both groups closer to Jesus!  Remember that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth MUCH” (James 5:16b).
  • Please give God praise for the PEACE that the ASAP staff has during this economic downturn!  ASAP has many workers and projects in the mission field that need financial support, but we trust God that this is HIS ministry and that He will provide the funds, the workers, and especially His Spirit to accomplish His will.  To sustain existing projects, we estimate needing $590,000 for the current quarter which ends March 31.  However, we sense a great urgency to work while there is daylight and are claiming God’s word to “prove” that He will open the “windows of heaven” with an overflow blessing.  We ask you, as partners in prayer, to please claim the promise of “Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20a).
