Monthly Prayer Points
PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF APRIL:
- Persecuted in Laos—An ASAP lay pastor and six families in a village were forced to renounce their faith by the local authorities and were threatened to be imprisoned if they continued to worship God. Please pray for God to give our ASAP lay pastor and his members strength and courage to stand for God’s truth despite the trials and persecution.
- House-church in Vietnam—In rural areas, it is becoming harder for ethnic minority groups to meet together for worship, especially training, as the government is once again tightening its policy. If the authorities catch people meeting illegally they suffer severe punishment. Please pray for God to move on the hearts of the government leaders and decision makers and break down the barriers that exist to spreading the gospel.
- Funds For Training National Workers—ASAP strongly believes in providing good training for our national missionaries so they can teach God’s Word effectively and use natural remedies, which is an effective method of reaching hearts. Pray that God will provide sufficient funds for the training of national workers in 2011.
- Loss of a Loved One—We are saddened by the tragic death of precious five-year old Neha Khan who was in a vehicle accident on March 19, 2011. Neha is the daughter of Akram and Alia Khan, who both work for Cambodia Adventist Mission. Please pray that God would comfort this family during this time and that they would have strong faith in God through this trial. Pray that our Cambodian brothers and sisters would not be led to question God’s love, but rather be encouraged to trust Him more.
- Greater Dependence on God—In these challenging times, there is certainly greater need for dependence on God and less dependence on the arm of flesh. Please pray that God would bless the ASAP team with wisdom to know how to conduct God’s work in God’s way. "God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supplies."—Hudson Taylor
