Monthly Prayer Points
PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST:
- Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI)—ASAP is blessed to be part of ASI, a ministry that equips lay people to support world-wide mission. Please pray that God will bless the attendees at the ASI convention with an extra measure of the Holy Spirit. ASAP will be assisting with a prayer room. May God work in mighty ways through ASI to advance His kingdom.
- Persecution in Vietnam—The government of Vietnam continues its persecution of minority Christians. We have recently received reports of Hmong Christians who are suffering from discrimination at the hands of the Vietnamese government. Our members in Vietnam are fasting and praying for God to intervene. Please pray and consider fasting for the protection of our Adventist believers who are being persecuted. Please also pray for the protection of our chapels and house churches which are being threatened.
- Cambodia Adventist Mission—The Cambodia Adventist Mission is looking for a new treasurer at this time to replace Akram Khan, who has served for more than 10 years. This is just one of the many challenges that the Mission is facing at this time. Please pray that God would quickly send the right Spirit-filled laborer to fill this position. Pray also that the Spirit of God would work mightily in and through the mission so the gospel can go to all in Cambodia.
- Hmong Bible Translation—The Hmong are a mountain-dwelling people from the mountainous regions of Southern China, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. There are over 14,754,500 Hmong in the world. Since the late 1970s thousands of Hmong refugees have resettled in the United States. We believe it is important to provide them with an accurate translation of God’s word. Currently only two paraphrases exist in the Hmong language which contain many doctrinal errors. Please pray that God would continue to supply needed funds to complete the Hmong Bible Translation project and bless Pastor Jay Lo and team in the translation work.
- New ASAP Project Manager—Thank you for praying for an ASAP project manager in Cambodia last month. God answered and Thon Banthon has been asked to fill this important position. Please pray that God would bless Thon with wisdom, strength and efficiency in his new role.
