December 2011

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER:

  • Flood Victims in Southeast Asia – The United Nations estimates that 1.2 million people out of a population of about 15 million in Cambodia may have been affected by the terrible flooding. With little or no government assistance, many villagers have been left to fend for themselves. Please pray for the flood victims of Southeast Asia as they face a long, hard road to recovery. Pray that God would provide relief and most importantly help them to see their need for Him.
  • God Provides a Van – We praise the Lord for providing the Albany church plant for Karen refugees with a van. We are needing four more vans for other groups that are ministering to refugees in the U.S. Please pray that God would provide the needed vehicles and that God would also provide warm clothing and heat that the struggling refugees will need for the winter months.
  • 2012 Mission Trips – ASAP is making plans at this time for some mission trips that will be taking place in 2012. We are also planning a short-term mission trip to minister to the people of Myanmar who are impoverished, destitute, oppressed and disadvantaged. Please pray that God would guide us in planning each detail of this trip and that He would handpick for us the laborers needed for the mission trips.
  • Residents of Sda Center – The residents at Sda Center with AIDS need healing of mind, body and soul. Please pray that God would bless them with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing that they need. Pray also that God would give Sopheak, the supervisor/care-giver the strength, compassion and love she needs to minister effectively to the people.
  • Christmas in Southeast Asia – Pray that many in Southeast Asia will come to know about the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ during the holiday season. And pray that our Adventist brothers and sisters would keep their eyes focused on Jesus this month and always.
