November 2011

PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER:

  • National Missionaries – We praise the Lord for all our national workers who are making great sacrifices to share the gospel, especially in the persecuted and oppressed countries of Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. As we have read the year-end reports, our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude to God for the way He is working in and through our ASAP missionaries. Please lift them up in prayer and claim the promise in Mark 16:17-18 which says: “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
  • Flood Victims in Asia – We know that God is able to work all things together for good. Please pray that millions in Southeast Asia will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior during this crisis. Pray also that God would provide needed funds so that our national workers can provide rice and other supplies to those in need as they seek to communicate the love of Jesus in tangible ways.
  • Ultimate Mission Challenge – The purpose of the Ultimate Mission Challenge is to encourage people to step out in faith, make sacrifices, and see that we cannot out-give God. This will increase their faith in God, their Provider, and boost their spiritual life. Please pray that many of our friends and donors would feel impressed to take the Ultimate Mission Challenge and that God would bless in ways that could not have been imagined.
  • AWR Shortwave Radio Broadcast – Through the radio, the gospel is going to millions in areas where we do not have missionaries or places where missionaries cannot go. Please pray for the renewed blessing of the Holy Spirit to be on Pastor Sophat Sorn, speaker of the Cambodia radio program “Voice of Love”, as he starts airing programs once a day instead of once a week.  And please pray the same blessing for Pastor Isaiah Duong, speaker of the Vietnamese radio program “Peace and Happiness”.
  • The Seventh-day Sabbath – We praise the Lord for thousands who are studying the distinct truths of the Seventh-day Adventist church and keeping holy the Sabbath.  Please pray for Pastor Preak Phally and his congregation of 25 families in Svay Rieng City, Cambodia who are now keeping the seventh-day day Sabbath. Pray also for pastors of 35 churches of other Christian denominations and at least five Catholic priests in Vietnam who are studying Adventist truth, some of whom have accepted the Sabbath and are leading their congregations to the truth. Pray that many more will learn about this beautiful truth in the Word of God.
