September 2011
PRAYER POINTS FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER:
- Spiritual and Financial Blessings—We praise the Lord for the way He has faithfully come through for ASAP in so many ways this past year. As we come to the end of another fiscal year, we would like to see the Lord open the windows of heaven and shower us with both spiritual and financial blessings so His name can be glorified in Southeast Asia. Please pray that God would fulfill His word to us in Mal. 3:10 where He promises to pour out such blessing “that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
- Planning for the Future – As we begin planning for the new fiscal year which begins in October we are sensing our need for wisdom and guidance. We do not simply want to continue doing everything we have in the past, but look to the Lord to guide us in knowing specifically His plans for this ministry and what new projects to support. Please pray that God would guide us each step of the way as we plan.
- Guidance for Pr. Khamsay – ASAP has close ties with Pr. Khamsay Phetchareun who helped to oversee our national workers in Laos many years ago when they were going through difficult times. He and his family have recently moved back to Thailand. Please pray that God will give him wisdom and great measure of the Holy Spirit as he works to train and spiritually mentor ASAP national missionaries again in Laos. Please also pray that he will receive a work permit soon.
- Church Planting for Refugees – The task of meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the Karen and Burmese refugees in North America is enormous and challenging. Please pray for Pr. Jimmy Shwee, the refugee church planting coordinator, and other church planting leaders as they work together in unity to assist the Karen and Burmese refugees in North America.
- Becoming Empty Vessels— We believe that the Lord can work mightily through broken individuals who have died to self. Please pray that our ASAP team and our national missionaries will experience greater brokenness and that we would be truly empty vessels so God can fill us with His Spirit without measure and do a mightier work through this ministry to reach the lost in Southeast Asia.
