BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
I am the Field Special Projects’ Collaborator. Essentially, I will be based in Laos and oversee ASAP’s projects and missionaries there.
SCHOOLING
I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor’s in psychology, and in May 2018, I will graduate with a Master of Science in Community & International Development from Andrews University.
HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP
In 2017, I moved to Andrews University to pursue my Master’s degree. Since I had previously spent 5 years in Laos with another missionary organization, I got connected with ASAP, which also does missionary work in Laos.
WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAP
I started working at the ASAP office in March 2018, but I will be stationed in Laos starting September 2018.
FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT
I am a little biased since I lived in Laos for several years, so I personally love any project that benefits the Lao people. However, because of the great spiritual and physical need in Asia, in general, any project that shares the love of God with Asian people is dear to me.
WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK
I enjoy being outside, cooking with my friends, learning new languages, traveling (especially to the beach!), and being a foreign missionary.
FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38–39).
