BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
I coordinate the sponsorship program here at ASAP. I pair up donors with ASAP workers or students to sponsor. I send out prayer cards and updates to the sponsors with information on their worker or student. I also complete small design projects and other office tacks as needed.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Southern Adventist University and plan to attend Seminary at Andrews University in the next few years.
HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP
I was working as a pastoral intern in North Carolina when I heard about ASAP from my sister. She works at AFM, another mission organization, and told me about ASAP and its mission. I began looking at the ASAP website for more information. I found that they were stationed in Berrien Springs MI which I thought was interesting because I was born in Berrien Springs. I have always wanted to do mission work, so when I heard that ASAP was looking for an office assistant, I applied. I now have an opportunity to assist in mission work right here in the town where I was born.
WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAP
I started working at ASAP towards the end of August 2016.
FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT
Humanitarian Aid projects where ASAP Ministries offers relief aid to Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar which are some of the poorest countries in Asia. Jesus says in Matt 25:40 “And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK
I spend most of my time reading, drawing pictures, or writing stories outside of work.
YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXT
Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
