Sandra Stebenne

BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
I am involved with several of ASAP Ministries' projects, such as the DVD evangelism program, and assist with other office tasks, as needed.

SCHOOLING
I have a Bachelor's degree in English, with a Writing Concentration, and am currently studying for both a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Communication at Andrews University.

HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP
Andrews University has an event called "Change Day" where students, faculty, and staff spend the day volunteering in the community. As part of that event, I volunteered at ASAP Ministries. They had a job opening which I applied for, and after interviewing me, they decided to hire me.

WHEN YOU STARTED WORKING WITH ASAP
I started working with ASAP in October 2018.

YOUR FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT
I don't think I could choose just one favorite; all of ASAP Ministries' projects are interesting and important.

WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK
When the weather is warm, I like to go hiking; in the winter, I like to go ice skating. My primary hobby is arts-and-crafts, though; I like origami in particular, but also coloring, sewing, and several other activities.

ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXTS
I actually have quite a few! But let's go with Philippians 1:6, which says, "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ." This verse not only reminds us that God is continually working in us, so that we will continually be learning and growing closer to Christ and more like Him, but it also reminds us that Christ is always with us -- because how else could He perfect us, unless He is with us?
