In a remote, mountainous region steeped in spiritual darkness, a young father named Luke (pseudonym) faced unimaginable loss. When evil spirits attacked his pregnant wife, leading to the death of their newborn daughter, Luke turned in desperation to the village witch doctor—but found no real hope. Then, one prayer from a local Christian opened the door to a miracle.  And when Luke and his wife moved to work on a banana farm, God had already placed an ASAP church planter there to meet them.

For over a year, this local missionary lived and worked alongside Luke and his wife, gently leading them to Jesus through prayer, Bible study, and loving friendship. Their lives were radically transformed—and when they returned home, they brought the light of Christ with them.  Today, Luke leads a thriving house church with 186 members.

There are more families like Luke’s, still trapped in fear. But God is already moving. He is using local missionaries to bring His light into the darkness as they meet people, study the Bible with them, and hold evangelistic meetings.
