Disciple-Making Resources

It's not about a method. It's about the Master!

Jesus calls you to be His disciple, the closest of friends, the most devoted of followers. What a privilege! Jesus also calls you to bring disciples to Him from every nation. What a high and holy calling!

How do we become disciples of Jesus Christ? How do we finish His Great Commission?

To follow Jesus we should study His character and actions. To obey Jesus we need to examine His teachings. To make disciples like Him we can follow carefully how He interacted with the disciples. But to actually be able to do all this, we must first die and be raised through Jesus’ death and resurrection. And to finish the Great Commission, we must know the fullness of Jesus’ gift of the Holy Spirit.

Great Math and the Great Commission illustrates how Jesus gave us a specific model of ministry that would multiply to the ends of the earth. We are slow to really work His four generational approach stated in 2 Timothy 2:2 as "The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” One becomes father, than grandfather, than great-grandfather.

It can look like this:

1) I do it myself—we teach best from experience
2) I do it with you—we learn best while trying
3) I help you pass it on—we become grounded while sharing with others
4) I only coach while you train the next to pass it on--we multiply exponentially

See how the multiplication numbers could work out to the finishing of the work.
