Myanmar Earthquake Response

Provide food, water, shelter, and more to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar

On Friday, March 28, 2025, a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake and powerful aftershocks struck near Mandalay, the second-largest city in Myanmar.  The quake caused extensive damage and loss of life over a large swath of Myanmar and neighboring Thailand. The death toll from the disaster has surpassed 3,000 people, with thousands more injured and hundreds still missing.

ASAP Ministries supports more than 580 local missionaries, nearly 70 schools, and dozens of other projects across Myanmar, Thailand, and the West Thailand Region. We praise God that all ASAP missionaries are safe and accounted for. However, within the larger Adventist community in Myanmar, one church member has died and others are seriously injured. A school and several churches, including two ASAP-supported church plants, sustained structural damage.

Right now, the immediate concern is for the many church members whose homes were destroyed by the earthquake.  With aftershocks continuing and rain in the forecast, some are sleeping in the streets, without access to food, clean water, shelter, or adequate medical care.

ASAP is coordinating with local mission leaders to provide basic necessities to these church members, as well as the Buddhist friends and neighbors who have joined them. Your prayers and gifts are urgently needed to support these ongoing relief efforts.  Thank you for demonstrating the love of God to the people of Myanmar in their time of need!
