HOW YOU WERE ORIGINALLY CONNECTED TO ASAP
I listened to various testimonies at the Fairplain Seventh-day Adventist Church and ASI. I also happened to live on street where ASAP Ministries' previous office building was located, so I passed by every day.

FAVORITE ASAP PROJECT
I didn't grow up Adventist. I attended secular private schools in my home country, Guatemala. Later in life, I was introduced to Adventist education at Andrews University and missionary training at Uchee Pines. I served as a missionary in Bolivia at a boarding school and witnessed the profound impact of Christian education on the lives of young people. I also had the opportunity to be a missionary in Honduras, where I saw how the elementary school served as a way for God to open the hearts of parents, students, and the community to know Jesus and the Adventist beliefs. I really value Christian education, which is why I'm truly excited to see ASAP schools near the Myanmar-Thailand border and within unreached communities.
WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK
Travel, exercise outdoors, cooking, reading
YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE TEXT
"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:38, 39). I like this promise that nothing can ever separate me from God.
